For the winter term of 2025/26, we are seeking a professor (m/f/d) for the degree program Finance and Accounting at IU International University, limited to 2 years at our campus in Berlin, full-time (5 days on campus) or part-time (4 days on campus), starting on October 1st, 2025.

Your tasks

• You represent the field of Finance and Accounting in teaching and research within the bachelor's degree program and become part of an extensive network in the field of higher education.
• You develop and lead face-to-face lectures on campus and are responsible for the individual supervision of our students during exams and thesis preparations.
• You teach practice-oriented fundamental knowledge in Finance and Accounting and can train students in areas such as International Financial Management and Management Accounting.
• You contribute to the creative development of teaching formats within IU’s didactic concept and collaborate closely with colleagues to further develop these formats.

Your Profile

At IU International University, we focus on delivering practical knowledge. Therefore, we seek an expert in Finance and Accounting with professional experience, scientific expertise, and didactic skills to enhance our teaching.

• You have successfully completed a university degree in Finance and Accounting or a related field with outstanding academic performance and hold a relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
• You possess at least five years of practical work experience, including three years outside academia, and may have initial teaching experience.
• You demonstrate your expertise through publications or projects in relevant subject areas.
• You are team-oriented, reliable, and committed to in-person teaching while also being proficient in conducting virtual lectures.
• You reside permanently in Germany.
• You have English language skills at C1 level according to the CEFR.

The employment requirements are governed by the Higher Education Law Thüringen.
