Job Description:

IU International University is seeking a Professor (m/f/d) in Engineering for the winter term 2025/26 at our Berlin campus. The position is limited to 2 years, with options for full-time (5 days on campus) or part-time (3 days on campus) work, starting October 1st, 2025. Responsibilities include representing the field of Engineering in teaching and research, developing and leading face-to-face lectures, supervising students, and contributing to innovative teaching formats. Key areas of teaching include Requirements Engineering, Robotics, Operations and Information Management, Reinforcement Learning, Manufacturing Methods, and Industry 4.0.

Profile: Candidates should have a university degree in Engineering or a related field with outstanding academic performance, a doctoral degree (Ph.D.), at least five years of practical experience including three outside academia, and some initial teaching experience. Proficiency in English (C1 level CEFR) and residence in Germany are required. The candidate should demonstrate expertise through publications or projects and work well in teams, both in person and virtually.
