DKV Mobility is seeking a Professional Test Engineer (gn) for a hybrid work setup in Germany. You will analyze complex requirements, derive risk-based testing, and support QA across product development.

The role spans manual and automated testing, CI/CD familiarity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have strong QA background, experience with end-to-end testing, and good communication in English and German.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and QA, both manual and automated.
• Able to derive risk-based testing approaches from requirements.
• Understand complex business processes and can challenge requirements with stakeholders.
• Familiar with defect management, test documentation, and metrics.
• Experience with integration, regression, end-to-end, and release testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Basic understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, usability, security).
• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication; team player across Product Owners and Dev teams.

• You analyze complex business requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, as well as functional and non-functional requirements, and derive risk-based testing approaches from them.
• You advise Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams on quality assurance and support them in defining requirements early on in a clear, complete, and testable way.
• You design relevant test scenarios and test cases and execute manual and automated tests or coordinate their implementation.
• You continuously develop test strategies, quality standards, and appropriate testing methods, ensuring their consistent application and documentation.
• You support the creation, maintenance, and further development of automated tests, integration and regression tests, as well as release validation activities.
• You analyze test results, defects, test coverage, and quality risks, create transparency, and derive concrete recommendations for action.
• You support release readiness assessments and Go/No-Go decisions, document meaningful testing evidence, and address risks at an early stage.
• You embed a quality mindset already during the requirements and development phases.
• You actively contribute your expertise to our QA Community of Practice and support the cross-team exchange of standards and best practices.

• You have solid experience in software testing and quality assurance, both in manual and automated testing.
• You have experience in analyzing business requirements, deriving risk-based testing approaches, and creating and executing structured test cases.
• You understand complex business processes and can assess, challenge, and further refine business requirements from a quality perspective in collaboration with stakeholders.
• You are familiar with defect management, test documentation, test reporting, as well as quality and testing metrics.
• You have experience with integration, regression, end-to-end, and release testing.
• You are familiar with agile development methodologies, traditional testing approaches, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• You possess a basic understanding of non-functional requirements, such as performance, reliability, usability, and security.
• You stand out through strong analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and understandable manner.
• You enjoy working in cross-functional teams and communicate confidently with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams.
• You have a strong sense of quality and ownership and proactively address unclear or incomplete requirements in a constructive manner.
• Ideally, you have experience with CI/CD pipelines, API or performance testing, test management tools, or hold an ISTQB certification.
• You communicate confidently in both English and German, verbally and in writing.
