Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, designing, architecting, implementing, and managing value-added services and components.
- Collaborating with pre-sales teams and customers to define service deliverables and translating customer needs into DDN solutions.
- Developing a thorough understanding of customer environments and industry trends.
- Contributing to product improvements and best practices in consulting.
- Gaining deep technical knowledge of DDN products to ensure smooth deployments and forming/leading SME teams when necessary.
- Installing and replacing hardware at customer sites, including configuration, tuning, support, and debugging of hardware and software.
- Configuring and tuning software remotely or on-site per design specifications.
- Preparing customer documentation and conducting training sessions.
- Leading benchmarks and tests to meet project acceptance criteria.
- Producing high-quality project documentation.
- Contributing to proposals, statements of work, and internal solutions testing.
- Creating and reviewing hardware and software documentation as needed.
- Teaching internal and customer classes as required.
- Understanding the sales process and supporting it when needed.
- Participating in seminars, tradeshows, and training events.
- Assisting sales with RFP responses, technical drawings, and recommendations.
- Managing customer relationships during deployment to ensure satisfaction.
- Reporting activity status to management.
- Participating in product testing and documentation reviews.
- Traveling occasionally as required.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience with Linux systems and storage solutions.
- Knowledge of networking, topology, DHCP, DNS, and Infiniband networks, with ability to plan and configure networked systems.
- Understanding of storage industry solutions.
- Experience with Linux OS administration, including kernel customization, package management, upgrades, and mass provisioning.
- Deep experience with Linux Volume Management, Multipath, and Block Device management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell scripts or Python.
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS/Parallel Filesystem and deep archive storage (desired).
- Understanding of network concepts, including OSI layers and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with HPC architectures, job schedulers, Linux containers, and orchestration tools (desired).
- Knowledge of AI hardware architectures and system automation tools (desired).
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
