About MedTech: Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Ready to join a team that’s pioneering the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease? Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

Shockwave Medical is committed to supporting clinicians who use our products with educational programs. This role impacts clinicians and patients by planning and executing educational events and programs, both in-person and virtual. You will collaborate closely with faculty members and internal partners in education, marketing, and sales. Besides managing events, you will support internal processes like HCP engagements, CME programs, and educational grants. This position can be performed remotely and reports to the Associate Director, Medical Education.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own logistics planning and execution of peer-to-peer educational events, including local speaker programs, national education programs, HQ-based programs, fellows programs, and conference-based educational events.
  2. Deliver excellent customer experience for clinicians and ensure strong communication with internal stakeholders, resulting in above-benchmark customer feedback.
  3. Support meetings you plan, including in-person travel and virtual event facilitation using various software platforms.
  4. Identify and contract with vendors.
  5. Generate reports and dashboards to track educational activity and effectiveness.
  6. Manage faculty honoraria payments & attendee expenses.
  7. Manage and track program budgets and reconcile expenses.
  8. Ensure compliance using various software platforms for tracking and reporting events.
  9. Balance multiple projects, manage stakeholders, and maintain relationships internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of event planning or related experience, preferably in the medical device space.
  • Ability to build successful partnerships with sales and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of AdvaMed and MDMA Compliance Code of Ethics.
  • Effective communication skills at all management levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate in a regulated environment with respect for process and compliance.
  • Experience with CRM & Event Management platforms such as CVENT, Salesforce, Speakcore is desired.
  • Some travel required.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language.
