Job summary

ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH, based in Berlin, is seeking an experienced Product Manager for Control & Monitoring hardware solutions in AIS/GIS switchgear. You will own development lifecycle from concept to delivery.

The role requires strong Agile/SAFe experience, ability to translate epics into features, manage roadmaps, budgets, and coordinate with PLMs, Owners, and System Architects. Expect international travel and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in HV switchgear product management, R&D project management, or customer project management.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and SAFe environment; SAFe certification a plus.
• Experience planning and forecasting schedules and costs for complex development or customer projects.
• Excellent communication, structured prioritization, and business-fluent English; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product management of Control & Monitoring hardware solutions for AIS/GIS switchgear throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze customer and market requirements to identify improvement opportunities and define future product enhancements.
• Translate Portfolio Epics into well-defined features and coordinate with Product Lifecycle Managers, Product Owners, and System Architects.
• Manage product roadmaps, priorities, schedules, budgets, and acceptance criteria using ALM and project management tools.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and support agile development activities through PI Planning, Sprint Reviews, System Demos, and daily stand-ups.
