Position Summary

We are looking for a Production Manager to join Apostroph's Customer Service Team at the exciting start of a new era of our company's history. Post-acquisition, we are looking for an innovative and inspiring leader with extensive experience in the localization world who can lead, strengthen and shape the future of our department.

This team manages multilingual translation and localization projects from request to delivery (analysis of project scope, quoting, vendor relations, etc.). They are the main point of contact for existing clients and also collaborate closely with other internal teams and external stakeholders, forming and maintaining strong professional relationships with all parties.

Responsibilities
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Customer Service department
  • Advise and support the Project Management team in their day-to-day work to ensure the smooth execution of all processes
  • Ensure that targets are met and budget specifications are adhered to
  • Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, optimizing processes and workflows to contribute to increased efficiency and quality
  • Implement these improvements, training both Customer Services team members and other involved stakeholders when needed
  • Support colleagues in Sales and Customer Service in maintaining and developing customer relationships and actively participate in customer meetings
  • Overall strategic development of the department, including analysis of potential customers and target markets
  • Act as the interface with other departments, especially Sales, Marketing, Vendor Management, Language Department and Quality Management
  • Manage escalations on behalf of clients and Customer Service team members
  • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor
Required skills and qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to think and act with both a process- and solution-oriented mindset
  • High level of determination, resilience, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to make decisions with confidence
  • Client-oriented at all times in your daily work
  • Openness to change as well as the ability to act proactively and think strategically
  • Comfortable working with numbers (quoting, forecasting, analysis of gross margins, meeting and setting KPIs, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel when needed to other team locations, client offices, conferences, etc.
Required experience
  • Significant experience leading teams of Project Managers in the language services industry
  • Experience working with Computer Aided Translation tools as well as Workflow Management Tools
Desired Experience
  • Professional working proficiency in additional foreign languages
