Production engineer (f / m / d)

The position can be filled in full or part time.

Summary

We are looking for a “Production Engineer (f / m / d)” for our “Ground Based Systems” production area at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.

The “GBS” production area manufactures optronic and optical devices and systems for land vehicles and stationary systems as well as for security solutions applications. These systems are used for reconnaissance and the protection of borders, objects and people.

Your Tasks

1. Coordination of production-related development tasks with a focus on mechatronics as a central interface between development, production and the supply chain.
2. Ensuring a product design that is suitable for production and maintenance (manufacturability, integrability, standardization, D-FMEAs).
3. Preparation for series production, series start-up planning and transfer of products to series production (optimization of existing products).
4. Optimization of existing products in close cooperation with development to continuously increase quality and stability.
5. Conception and creation of test and special equipment.
6. Documenting tests in production and carrying out investigations to improve the functionality and reliability of products.
7. Supporting the identification and elimination of production problems using suitable methods for root cause analysis such as PPS or SPC.
8. Defining, developing, testing, qualifying, approving and introducing new technologies and manufacturing processes in production.

Your Profile

1. Completed engineering degree (optoelectronics, mechatronics) or comparable.
2. Many years of professional experience in process development and/or optimization using common methods such as Six Sigma, FMEA, Lean Management, TQM.
3. Practical experience in assembly/a manufacturing area, ideally with a focus on optics or optoelectronics advantageous.
4. IT knowledge of CAD and ERP systems as well as MS Office.
5. Programming skills (preferably Python and AutoIT).
6. Technical expertise and understanding of industrial processes.
7. Commitment, strong team orientation and communication skills.
8. Structured and goal-oriented approach and assertiveness.
9. Fluent German and good English skills.
