Job Description

As part of our customer’s production department, you will have the following responsibilities:

1. Accompanying the development of aerospace products from initial designs to series production as a production engineer in close collaboration with the Industrial Leader.
2. Contributing own production and manufacturing experience to the development and industrialization process.
3. Focusing on production-oriented, cost-efficient, cleanroom-compatible, and testable design, thereby identifying and avoiding problems from the outset.
4. Definition of manufacturing processes and selection of suitable procedures in collaboration with manufacturing managers and process specialists (Manufacturing and Inspection Flow - MIF).
5. Supporting the definition and development of tools and equipment for the manufacture of the products.
6. Ensuring the qualification of the production processes in close collaboration with the process specialists.
7. Creation of the Manufacturing Bill of Materials and Bill of Processes in close collaboration with design and manufacturing departments.
8. Creation and updating test plans (Control Plan).
9. Documentation of the work (among other things):
1. Manufacturing and Inspection Flow
2. Contributing to the creation of industrialization documents, such as the Industrialization Justification File and Industrialization Verification Document (DVI)
10. Processing of quality reports.
11. Determining and evaluating the costs of the manufacturing processes.
12. Evaluating current costs and defining measures for cost reduction.
13. Ensuring process stability through the application and implementation of suitable methods, such as measurement system analyses, statistical process control, or Process Failure Mode and Effect Analyses.
14. Application and implementation of the company-internal processes.
15. Participation in product reviews to confirm the successful development and qualification of the product.
16. Identification and independent implementation of improvements to the local processes.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

1. At least technical background or bachelor’s in engineering
2. Proven experience in Manufacturing/Production
3. Experience using SAP and PLM tools (i.e., TeamCenter)
4. Knowledge of quality standards and their application
5. Team and communication skills, structured working style
6. Business trips within Germany and France
7. Fluency in English is mandatory; German – business fluent
