Job DescriptionAs part of our customer’s production department, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Accompanying the development of aerospace products from initial designs to series production as a production engineer in close collaboration with the Industrial Leader.
- Contributing own production and manufacturing experience to the development and industrialization process.
- Focusing on production-oriented, cost-efficient, cleanroom-compatible, and testable design, thereby identifying and avoiding problems from the outset.
- Definition of manufacturing processes and selection of suitable procedures in collaboration with manufacturing managers and process specialists (Manufacturing and Inspection Flow - MIF).
- Supporting the definition and development of tools and equipment for the manufacture of the products.
- Ensuring the qualification of the production processes in close collaboration with the process specialists.
- Creation of the Manufacturing Bill of Materials and Bill of Processes in close collaboration with design and manufacturing departments.
- Creation and updating test plans (Control Plan).
- Documentation of the work (among other things):
- Manufacturing and Inspection Flow
- Contributing to the creation of industrialization documents, such as the Industrialization Justification File and Industrialization Verification Document (DVI)
- Processing of quality reports.
- Determining and evaluating the costs of the manufacturing processes.
- Evaluating current costs and defining measures for cost reduction.
- Ensuring process stability through the application and implementation of suitable methods, such as measurement system analyses, statistical process control, or Process Failure Mode and Effect Analyses.
- Application and implementation of the company-internal processes.
- Participation in product reviews to confirm the successful development and qualification of the product.
- Identification and independent implementation of improvements to the local processes.
QualificationsYou will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- At least technical background or bachelor’s in engineering
- Proven experience in Manufacturing/Production
- Experience using SAP and PLM tools (i.e., TeamCenter)
- Knowledge of quality standards and their application
- Team and communication skills, structured working style
- Business trips within Germany and France
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German – business fluent
