Job Description:
Major Function

The Production Coordinator is located within the Communications and Humanities Division and will report to the Dean. This position involves technical work in the operation and supervision of the auditorium, including planning, management of production aspects, technical operations, preventive maintenance, safety, lighting, sound, and other technical aspects in a theater/auditorium.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the auditorium and supervising stagehand labor at all events.
  • Setting the stage, overseeing technical aspects of events such as design, sound, lights, props, and facilitating stage clearing.
  • Maintaining auditorium equipment, inventory, and backstage areas.
  • Driving TCC vehicles to transport production equipment as needed.
  • Collaborating with outside event managers, crews, and college functions.

Minimum training and experience: High school diploma or equivalent plus five years of technical theater or related experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and may substitute for four years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Successful candidates will demonstrate: Knowledge of TCC policies, budget management, theatre construction and lighting techniques, scenic art, sound reinforcement, computer research, planning and organization skills, leadership, construction drawing literacy, CAD/VECTOR WORKS skills, scenic, lighting, and sound design skills, self-motivation, ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights of 10-25 feet, drive college vehicles, and work independently or collaboratively to achieve goals.
