Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced audio engineer for live broadcast environments in Germany. You will mix for medium to large-scale events, configure Calrec and Riedel systems, and ensure audio compliance across feeds and platforms.

Responsibilities include live operation, workflow optimization, SLA adherence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain broadcast quality and efficiency.

Jobbeschreibung

• Build sources through internal router software and desk
• Configure Riedel Director panels for colleagues in different departments
• Create show asset workflows to improve broadcast efficiency
• Operate off audio calls in a timely, live setting
• QC audio levels and maintain loudness standards
• Collaborate with GFX, EVS, audio, engineering, IT, and other departments to ensure correct audio levels and production quality
• Monitor multiple feeds and broadcasts for compliant levels
• Ensure compliance with audio copyrights on streaming platforms
• Troubleshoot audio issues and micro-adjust audio levels
• Supply mixes for departments, feeds, and sponsors
• Review package and recap audio for following-day broadcasts
• Refine workflows based on team and Producer/Director feedback
• Load and prepare for the next day's broadcast
• Create post-show documentation highlighting audio and technical tasks or issues
• Update and maintain SOPs, contribute to new SOPs, and share business and technical knowledge
• Maintain control, efficiency, and visibility over broadcast technology and its maintenance
• Serve as an escalation point for onsite technical problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution
• Coordinate production activities with other technical centers
• Help create in-house intercom systems and improve monitoring and quality-of-service metrics
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in mixing medium to large scale events
• Experience and working knowledge of Calrec and Riedel systems
• Working knowledge of live video content production workflows and related technologies
• Working knowledge of network engineering, with emphasis on AoIP systems
• Working knowledge of audio editing software, such as Ableton Live
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written forms
• Good organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Logical thinking with good problem-solving and fault-finding skills in diverse systems
• Ability to work under pressure in a live environment and within program requirements
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and overnight
• Ability to operate a keyboard, view a video display terminal screen, and use communication equipment
• Understanding of AoIP, SMPTE 2110 or AES67
• Understanding of structured cable systems and cable patching and routing
