We are seeking to recruit a Product Specialist for our Private Markets platform. The position is based in our Munich or Paris office.

The Product Specialist function is an important link between the Private Markets investment teams, Distribution, as well as other AllianzGI functions, and clients. The incumbent will be part of the Private Markets platform which manages approximately EUR 100 billion in assets for both third party investors globally and its parent company, Allianz, comprising around 170 investment professionals.

The platform offers professional investors a broad range of strategies including infrastructure debt and equity, private equity, private placement debt (investment grade and non-investment grade), mid-market private credit, global multi-manager private debt, as well as Trade Finance and Blended Finance. The Private Markets Investment teams are global with locations in London, Paris, New York, Munich and Singapore.

What You Will Do

• Work within the Private Markets product specialists’ team and collaborate closely with investment teams to serve as an advocate for the respective strategies
• Provide expert knowledge of strategies, products, investment process, and philosophy and communicate/ present in internal and external meetings
• Create investment strategy information with focus on the investment process, market dynamics, competitive landscape, illustration of the investment case (e.g. RfP’s, DDQ’s, ad-hoc requests)
• Prepare marketing collateral for events, client and consultant meetings as well as internal communication of investment related content for marketing/ distribution purposes
• Actively support fundraising efforts and participate in marketing events, as well as client and consultant meetings
• Write and articulate portfolio relevant commentaries to support the product presentations and positioning of our capabilities. In addition, deliver the required portfolio and investment strategy-related content to the RFP team and client service entities
• Stay abreast of market developments in the context of relevant competitor products, peers and general trends
• Participate in product development initiatives as well as distribution initiatives for the respective strategies.
  
  

What You Bring

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance or similar environment. CFA, CIIA or similar qualification is a plus
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience as a Product Specialist, institutional sales or investment role (with focus on Private Markets)
• Specific experience in Private Market strategies is a must, ideally Private Credit or Infrastructure Equity
• Ambitious and organized personality with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong can-do attitude with internal and external clients and responsiveness to their needs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor messages for a diverse range of audiences and to clearly articulate investment content
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally in a large organization
• Team player with intellectual and cultural curiosity paired with a hands-on approach, proven project management skills
• Proficiency in English; German, French or additional language skills are a plus.
