We are now looking for a Product Sales Manager for 2-stroke Engine Services to lead the frontline sales activities for the Marine market in Europe. This key position is responsible for achieving business results in the 2-stroke segment within the assigned area through close collaboration with local Sales Managers and Proposal resources. The role offers a hybrid work model, allowing partial remote work, with travel required to meet customers in the region. The preferred locations are Germany or Denmark.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting available solutions within the Area and Regional Sales organization and directly to customers
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities, developing, and closing deals in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Occasionally acting as Capture Team Leader to ensure effective teamwork within capture teams, involving relevant stakeholders at the right time
  • Ensuring compliance with opportunity management and sales process steps, and promoting active CRM use
  • Collaborating closely with the global 2-stroke & OEM Service Sales Support & Development team for growth areas
  • Maintaining an overview of key opportunities, following up on the sales pipeline, and providing regular status reports
  • Training and coaching the 2-stroke team and sales champions in the Area on solutions across all 2-stroke Service categories
  • Analyzing market and customer needs, providing feedback to the global team
  • Co-developing new or customized solutions with customers and global functions
  • Understanding customers’ business drivers and identifying solutions that add value
  • Collaborating with Marine Business, Energy Business, and WinGD representatives
  • Participating in newbuilding sales meetings and supporting project wins with lifecycle solutions
  • Ensuring collaboration across Business Lines to capture extended service opportunities

The following qualifications will enable success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, business administration, sales & marketing, with a mechanical or marine engineering background
  • At least 5 years of sales or sales support experience in services or marine solutions, with an existing network of marine customers preferred
  • Experience in complex sales such as service agreements or projects
  • Leadership and coaching experience in sales
  • Strong customer relationship skills, including at CXO levels
  • Excellent sales, consulting, and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills for meetings, presentations, and written correspondence
  • Ability to discover, develop, and close opportunities
  • Knowledge of Wärtsilä sales guidelines and contract templates
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales pipeline management
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales activities simultaneously
  • Strong action planning and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
