Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping develop communications strategy and proactively managing activity with media and content creators to drive understanding and excitement around products including iPhone, iPad and Mac and their software. The role will focus on driving fresh new ideas and implementing cutting-edge PR for Apple products as well as related software and services while broadening relationships with media and content creators. It covers new product introductions as well as momentum communications that increase awareness of existing products and will bring high energy, an appetite for fresh storytelling, and the organizational skills to bring ideas to fruition. You will be excited by Apple’s products not only as devices that keep people around the world connected but as creative tools for entrepreneurs, photographers, filmmakers, musicians and more. You will help us build new relationships with the communities that use our products and will be tasked with leading our efforts in finding new media and social platforms through which we can creatively tell those stories. You will be responsible for providing local insights into media and social trends which will help shape strategy, connect locally and deliver hyper-local execution. You will work in partnership with a variety of other teams to create strategies and deliver campaigns that increase awareness and understanding of Apple’s products and their software.

Responsibilities

Significant experience in consumer PR, journalism or content creation in agency or corporate settings. Language skills: Fluency in German and English required. Travel in Europe and the US. The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a real passion for technology and innovation. The candidate will help drive PR and product communications, preferably for a consumer brand, and will translate understanding of local culture and consumers into compelling PR campaigns. They will leverage strong local knowledge and networks with media and content creators, act as a self-starter, and demonstrate creative and critical thinking abilities. The role requires effective collaboration across teams and geographies with integrity, as well as organizational skills to manage multiple projects from start to finish. The candidate should work well under pressure on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects and be highly motivated and passionate about Apple’s brand and products.
