Zusammenfassung

Innomotics GmbH in Erlangen seeks a Product Portfolio Manager focused on High Power Electrical Drives to advance our IN SYSO PPM portfolio. You will define investment plans for 1–5 years and lead the yearly R&D budget in alignment with our energy-transition goals.

You will monitor global markets, rebalance investments as needed, and report on performance while collaborating across functions and with external partners. Fluent in English and German required.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics (or related combo).
• Experience with high-power drives, MV/HV systems, and related projects.
• Experience with technology providers, system integrators or consultancies.
• Ability to explain macroeconomic relationships and develop strategic plans.
• Fluent in English and German.

Aufgaben

• Define short-term (1 year) and mid-term (3 to 5 years) high-power drives portfolio investment plans.
• Manage yearly R&D activities, including maintenance and design to cost.
• Agree and manage the yearly R&D budget across the portfolio.
• Monitor global markets and energy transition trends impacting the portfolio.
• Regularly rebalance investments in response to market changes.
• Provide transparent reporting and generate portfolio investment ideas to meet AOP goals.

Your Future Role

• Investment Strategy: Define short-term (1 year) and mid-term (3 to 5 years) high-power drives portfolio investment plans to achieve the business goals set in the AOP.
• Innovation: Manage the yearly R&D activities (including maintenance, design to cost, engineering optimization) according to the portfolio investment plan.
• Budget: Agree and manage the yearly R&D budget across the responded high-power drives portfolio (e.g., STATCOM, grid to grid, ship to shore applications).
• Market Analysis: Continuously monitor the relevant global markets and economic trends like energy transition, turbine replacement, power grid opimization.
• Portfolio Rebalancing: Regularly adjust and reallocate innovation investments in response to relevant market changes.
• Portfolio and Business Relations: Provide transparent R&D performance reporting and generate new high-power drives portfolio investment ideas to achieve the business goals set in the AOP.

Your Profile

• You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics or a combination of an electrical engineering technical bachelor's degree and a business-focused master's degree (such as an MBA).
• You are familiar with high-power drives technology (medium voltage drives/systems, high voltage motors) and can represent it internally and externally.
• You have already several years of professional experience with a technology provider, system integrator or consultancy company for high-power power electrical solutions or system design/engineering specialized in projects for energy transition, grid compliance, oil&gas or similar.
• You quickly grasp macroeconomic relationships, build arguments and create a strategic plan.
• You clearly and simply explain complex systems to stakeholders, fluently in English and German.
