Position Overview

• Title: Product Owner SAP General Accounting

• Client: Otto Group

• Location: Hamburg

• Start Date: September 1, 2025

• Duration: Initially until September 1, 2026, with an option for extension.

• Working Hours: 5 days per week.

• Remote Work: Up to 80% possible.

Responsibilities

• You will be the driving force for the further development and management of central financial processes in a complex SAP S/4 HANA landscape.

• You will design and prioritize the product backlog and the technical direction for a 13-member international team.

• You will serve as the central point of contact for receiving, evaluating, and implementing both business and technical requirements.

• You will proactively develop optimization proposals and drive new projects.

• You will navigate and work within the SAP S/4 HANA system landscape using tools like SolMan and Focused Run.

• You will provide operational support within an iterative working style (Kanban and similar approaches).

• You will actively co-design, support, and take responsibility for professional projects.

• You will serve as the central point of contact for all SAP Finance requirements within the team.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

• Proven practical experience as a Product Owner or IT Project Manager.

• Practical application experience with agile working methods.

• Strong practical experience in SAP FI/CO.

• Experience with SAP tools such as SolMan (OCC, ChaRM, Focused Build) and Focused Run.

• Good understanding of accounting principles (HGB, IFRS).

• Experience in stakeholder management within a complex corporate environment.

• Strong communication skills, team spirit, curiosity, and personal initiative.

• Very good German and very good English language skills.
