Join us as a Product Owner (m/f/d) in our Cabin Safety Team on a shared journey that matters!

To make the vision of an autonomously driving mobility service a reality, we are growing in the business domain of Vehicle Integration with product development teams. These agile teams develop applications and tools needed to enable autonomous passenger management within our MOIA vehicles in a driverless world: How do passengers authenticate without a driver? How to ensure a safe cabin during boarding and the ride? What content should be displayed on vehicle screens for a safe and informative user experience?

The Cabin Safety team is one of four teams in the Vehicle Integration domain, building a platform for automated cabin surveillance and safety checks previously performed by drivers. The features involve embedded and backend software, considering functional safety requirements.

What you will do
  • Understand the overall product and derive the product vision and direction for the cabin safety team.
  • Define & prioritize the product roadmap with the team.
  • Break down the roadmap into manageable backlog items collaboratively.
  • Enable and inspire the team to understand customer and user problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Understand fleet operator needs during autonomous rides and translate them into technical solutions within the vehicle integration platform.
  • Align user journey and interactions with the team’s features.
  • Elaborate legal, quality, and safety requirements with OEM partners.
  • Collaborate with teams within and outside the vehicle integration domain and represent the team in integration activities.
  • Manage stakeholder relations with OEMs and partners.
  • Work closely with suppliers and partners to develop the product.
  • Monitor features during vehicle campaigns and demos to external stakeholders.

  • You thrive in a hands-on environment, love solving complex problems, and can manage diverse stakeholders in high-performance teams, especially in a startup culture.
  • Excellence: Empathize with customer and passenger needs, understand legal boundaries, and translate these into user stories aligned with business goals.
  • Agile mindset: Deep experience with agile principles and applying them in dynamic, complex environments, including with industry partners.
  • Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with standards like ISO 26262 or ASPICE is a plus.
  • Communication: Enjoy engaging with diverse personalities and stakeholders, communicating effectively.
  • Visionary: Ability to see the big picture, craft compelling visions, and assess product viability.
  • Pragmatist: Proven track record of getting things done, problem-solving, and prioritizing challenges effectively.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
