Job summary

ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH is hiring a sensor-control product owner in Germany. You will own the product vision and roadmap for the sensor-control subsystem within the Ground Mission and Armament System, translating requirements into a prioritized backlog and well-defined user stories.

You will work with a 10-person development team to ensure sprint goals are realistic and delivered on time, coordinating with System Architects, Mission Engineers, and Operations to align capabilities with

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience in sensor-control, avionics, autonomous systems or other mission-critical platforms.
• Solid understanding of system life-cycle processes, requirements engineering, architecture, integration & verification (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE).
• Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence, DOORS for requirements traceability, CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink for sensor modeling.
• Excellent English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision & roadmap for the sensor-control subsystem within the Ground Mission and Armament System.
• Translate mission requirements and regulatory constraints into a clear, prioritized backlog.
• Define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done for functional and systems attributes.
• Collaborate with a 10-person development team to ensure sprint goals are realistic and delivered on time.
• Coordinate with System Architects, Mission Engineers, and Operations to align capabilities with architecture and timelines.
• Manage risk and compliance, maintain traceability matrices, ensure DO-278C standards are reflected in backlog items and tested.

• own the product vision & roadmap for the sensor-control subsystem within the overall Ground Mission and Armament System
• translate mission requirements, stakeholder needs and regulatory constraints into a clear, prioritized product backlog
• define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria and "Definition of Done" that reflect both functional performance (accuracy, latency, reliability) and systems-engineering attributes (traceability, safety, maintainability)
• work hand-in-hand with the 10-person development team (systems engineers, software engineers, integration specialists) to ensure sprint goals are realistic, well-understood and delivered on time
• collaborate with System Architects, Mission Engineers, and Operations to align sensor-control capabilities with overall system architecture and mission timelines
• manage risk and compliance - maintain traceability matrices, ensure that safety/mission-critical standards (e.g., DO-278C) are reflected in backlog items and verified during testing

• have a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field
• bring experience in sensor-control, avionics, autonomous systems or other mission-critical platforms
• have Systems Engineering background - solid understanding of system life-cycle processes, requirements engineering, architecture, integration & verification (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE)
• bring knowledge of JIRA/Confluence, DOORS for requirements traceability, CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink for sensor modeling
• are highly proficient in English
