This position is part of Novanta's Advanced Surgery business unit. We provide reliable, precise, and safe solutions that enhance system performance and improve patient outcomes, including insufflators, pumps, disposable tube sets, and medical visualization and operating room integration technologies for minimally invasive surgeries.

Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for a product or product group. They develop product requirements based on market needs and customer feedback, manage the product portfolio from inception to discontinuation, and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory processes and sustaining activities.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Gather and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and teams to define requirements and features.
  2. Manage revenue and gross margin for the product or product group.
  3. Create product concepts, business cases, and support development projects.
  4. Develop roadmaps for next-generation products and build strategies aligned with company vision.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Medical, and R&D teams.
  6. Support marketing with value propositions, pricing, positioning, and portfolio strategy.
  7. Validate products in laboratory and clinical settings.
  8. Manage product changes and discontinuations with Key Account Management.
  9. Execute product lifecycle management, competition analysis, and risk management processes.
  10. Coordinate sustaining and post-market activities such as Clinical Evaluation and Surveillance.
  11. Act as a Medical Product Consultant.
General Tasks
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement instructions from quality and safety personnel.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Training
  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers and stakeholders to define requirements.

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • Possession of a valid passport.
