Job Title: Product Manager - Core Systems

We are seeking a passionate Product Manager - Core Systems to join our team in disrupting core systems technology standards with highly configurable, modular, and automated solutions. This role enables rapid product launches with industry-leading regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Core Systems team operates across our offices in Barcelona, Berlin, and Vienna, which are our main product and tech hubs globally.

Role Overview

As a Product Manager in Core Systems, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our core systems infrastructure, which is critical for ensuring customer funds are safe, securely transferred, and for offering new financial products in a scalable, competitive manner.

Key Responsibilities

1. Implement Core Systems within N26's overall architecture.
2. Define the future of our core banking platform and strategize to meet long-term goals.
3. Partner with stakeholders to set team goals, develop roadmaps, and execute strategies for success.
4. Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and engineers to drive strategic improvements.
5. Coordinate product rollouts with local market teams, marketing, operations, compliance, and engineering.

Candidate Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in FinTech, banking, or with core banking providers.
• Experience with banking or payments architecture frameworks and API products.
• Educational background in STEM, business, or economics; an MBA, MS, or equivalent is a plus.
• Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and innovative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technical familiarity with APIs, microservices, databases, and new technologies.
• Experience working with third-party providers and vendors is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of agile development processes.
• Proactive, continuous learner, and open to feedback.
