Requirements :

  • Completed scientific or technical studies, ideally with a focus on polymers.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Very good knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Leadership skills.
  • Structured and organized way of working.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe.

Purpose of the Function :

This position aims to translate automotive industry trends into direct business opportunities for the company's rubber compounding division, in collaboration with marketing, sales, and R&D departments of local production plants. Monitoring the global automotive market, representing the company at external events, and maintaining a strong network presence are considered important.

General responsibilities :

  • Identify market trends and future material requirements.
  • Develop technical product strategies for the automotive segment.
  • Present the company's rubber solutions to automotive OEMs.
  • Represent the group at conferences, trade fairs, etc., through lectures and technical articles.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and development teams to define and present new solutions.
  • Identify existing local customer solutions and share best practices within the group.
  • Pre-develop new material solutions together with R&D.

Specific responsibilities :

  • Translate market trends into strategic developments and concrete opportunities.
  • Initiate new strategic developments with R&D.
  • Serve as the contact person for automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and new automotive startups.
  • Present products and support the approval processes.
  • Support sales with technical issues and complaints.
  • Create technical articles for publications.
  • Present new products and solutions at meetings and conferences.
  • Provide technical input for marketing to showcase new product solutions.
