Silgan Dispensing Systems is looking for a creative, commercially minded and analytically driven Product Line Manager to lead the growth and profitability of our Dispensing & Closures product portfolio.
In this highly visible global role, you will act as the strategic owner of your product line connecting customer needs, market trends, commercial opportunities, and operational requirements. You will be responsible for defining product strategy, driving innovation, supporting business development, and ensuring the long-term success of the portfolio throughout its lifecycle.
Working closely with Sales, Innovation, Operations, Finance, and customers, you will transform market insights and business data into actionable strategies that accelerate growth and strengthen our market position.

This position can be based in many of our European offices (Weener, Germany | Ede, the Netherlands | Tilburg, the Netherlands) and requires regular collaboration with international teams across Europe and globally.
What you will do
- Define and execute the product line strategy to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Manage the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, from innovation and launch to optimization and phase-out.
- Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, and market share.
- Recommend product enhancements and portfolio investments to maintain competitiveness.
Market & Commercial Leadership
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop value propositions, positioning strategies, and commercial programs that differentiate our offerings.
- Partner with Sales teams to support pipeline development, strategic customer engagements, and new business opportunities.
- Identify priority customers and brands that align with the portfolio strategy.
Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Drive the innovation pipeline in collaboration with R&D, Engineering, and Operations.
- Lead product-focused projects involving internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
- Support product launches and ensure successful market adoption.
- Act as the internal expert for your product line, providing technical and commercial guidance.
Analytics & Business Performance
- Monitor profitability, pricing, and financial performance of the portfolio.
- Deliver market, pricing, and competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning activities.
- Maintain product data and key business metrics, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
Product Advocacy
- Promote product knowledge across the organization through training and communication.
- Represent the product line internally and externally, helping build customer confidence and market credibility.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Commercial Excellence, Business Development, Marketing, or a related function.
- Experience within packaging, dispensing systems, closures, personal care, beauty, healthcare, or other industrial manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to connect market opportunities to business results.
- Analytical capabilities and confidence working with data, pricing models, and financial indicators.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management, portfolio strategy, and market dynamics.
- Financial acumen with the ability to influence profitability, pricing, and margin performance.
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across a global matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excel and Power BI skills; experience with data visualization and business analytics tools is preferred.
- Professional fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
