Qualifikationen

Product Engineering Specialist (m/f/d)

This position reports to

Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will join a dynamic and flexible team, where you will drive improvements of our electromechanical and electronic switchgears (including manual motor starters, contactors, thermal or electronic relays). Your work will be very diverse. The tasks will vary from design over measurement, part inspection, testing, cost saving to production support. You will often be the leader of the work packages or projects. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role contributes to the Product Group Motor Starting in Heidelberg and Hornberg, Germany. Main stakeholders are the Manufacturing units of Heidelberg and Hornberg. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. One or more electromechanical products as a major task
2. Leading projects and work packages
3. A few electronic products as a minor task
4. Implementation of parts from new tools
5. Continuous product improvement, e.g., design for manufacturing, design for cost, functional design
6. Troubleshooting in cases of increased scrap in production
7. Implementation of new technologies and processes and their improvements

Qualifications for the role

• Preferably master’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to demonstrate advanced skills in the design of plastic and metal parts with respect to tolerance chain
• Some experience with electronic devices is very beneficial
• Knowledge of finite element, multi-body or electromagnetic simulation or L6S tools is beneficial
• You are at ease communicating in English and German
