About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and proactive Product Engineer to join our team full-time and in person. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop features end-to-end and make a substantial impact in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

You'll own the complete product development lifecycle - from concept to deployment - working across our entire tech stack to deliver AI-powered features that drive enterprise adoption. We are hiring for an on-site role in our HQ in Berlin, Germany.

Timeline After Start

1. Weeks 1-2: Onboarding and small tickets to familiarize with codebase
2. Weeks 3-6: Mix of smaller and mid-size tickets as well as being "support engineer" (on duty for a week, together with more experienced engineer to handle and fix all ad-hoc, incoming issues from customers)
3. Week 6+: Work as a Product Engineer, working on building full screens and features end-to-end in our product. While working with our design team and customers to get insights, feedback, etc.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop complete product features from conception to user-facing implementation across our AI platform
• Build end-to-end solutions spanning frontend (Next.js), backend (Node.js), and database layers
• Collaborate with our design team and customers to gather insights, feedback, and iterate on product features
• Develop complete user interfaces including full screens, components, and user flows
• Maintain and optimize our codebase for performance and user experience
• Conduct code reviews and perform debugging tasks across the full stack
• Support our enterprise customers during rotation periods to understand real-world usage patterns

Required Skills

• 1+ years of proven experience building production applications with React and Tailwind CSS
• Strong frontend development expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, and modern React patterns
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and API development
• Database knowledge with PostgreSQL and understanding of data modeling
• Experience with modern development tools including Git, package managers, and bundlers
• API integration experience with REST APIs and modern patterns like tRPC
• Fluent English communication skills for technical discussions and customer interaction

Strong Plus

• Hands-on experience with Language Models and AI/ML integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
• Enterprise software development experience with security and compliance considerations
• Experience with Redis for caching and session management
• Vector databases and semantic search implementation
• German language skills for direct customer communication
• UI/UX design sensibility and experience working with design systems
