We are looking for a Product Developer Apparel (m/f/d) to join our Apparel team at our headquarters in Idstein as soon as possible. This is a one-year, fixed-term position covering maternity leave.

The story begins:

  • Manage product development of apparel from Design handover to production.
  • Ensure protos, mockups, size set, and PP samples are received and processed on time.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (fabric, PM & Design) to ensure suitability of fabrics into garments.
  • Proactively update tech packs and ensure accuracy of tech packs at all stages.
  • Ensure that cost sheets from the garment vendors are accurate and received on time.
  • Offer suggestions and solutions to engineer products to target costs.
  • Work with vendors for cost-saving suggestions and gather cost options.
  • Work with fabric and quality teams to ensure garments meet JW quality standards.
  • Lead garment fitting sessions and use expertise to suggest fit improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with Design, PM, fabric, fit, and other departments.
  • Travel to garment vendors, trade shows, and market research as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of data in the system to link to SAP master data maintenance.

Your proven path:

  • Completed studies in Clothing Technology, Textile Design, Textile Technology, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction and production processes.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to change, make decisions, and thrive in uncertain situations.
  • Solid understanding of material construction and related testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of wear and physical testing methods.
  • Excellent understanding of fit and garment fitting processes.
  • Growth mindset with a positive and proactive attitude.
