Your responsibilities
- As Product Compliance Manager, you will significantly contribute to ensuring product compliance according to European and international regulations. Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and assessing machines and equipment concerning legal requirements and conformity standards (e.g., NAWI, MID, ATEX, REACH, RoHs...)
- Preparing and supporting EU type examinations, focusing on weighing technology (NAWI and MID directives) and, upon agreement, ATEX directive with the respective Notified Body
- Collaborating closely with our product developers on new and existing developments
- Managing EAC approvals
- Participating in internal (supplier) audits, re-certification, and surveillance audits within the QM system according to ATEX, NAWI, and MID directives
- Training and advising employees on standards-related product requirements and legal regulations
- Maintaining regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including international testing agencies and approval authorities
- Monitoring legislative changes and standards developments and assessing their impact on our products
Your qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
- Initial experience with regulations, directives, and standards (such as Machinery Directive, ATEX, RoHs, REACH, Battery Regulation, Packaging Regulation) and conformity assessment procedures for product approval is advantageous
- Affinity for handling technical or legal documents
- Willingness to take responsibility and show initiative
- Confident appearance combined with good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent German and good English language skills are required
- International travel readiness (10-15%) is a prerequisite
