Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Economic Research, Business Economics, or comparable with a quantitative focus.
• Extensive experience in Market Intelligence, Economic Research, and strategic procurement contexts.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic trends and global markets affecting procurement.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evolve a global Market Intelligence capability to enable data-driven procurement decisions.
• Define and manage the Market Intelligence operating model and external data/solution providers.
• Build and govern a centralized Market Intelligence Hub with advanced analytics and AI integration.
• Monitor global macroeconomic, commodity, geopolitical, and regulatory developments and assess implications.
• Translate developments into actionable recommendations and decision support for leadership.
• Develop forward-looking market indicators and early-warning mechanisms for opportunities and risks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You establish and continuously evolve a global Market Intelligence capability that enables data-driven strategic procurement decisions across Siemens Healthineers.
• You define and implement the Market Intelligence operating model, including the selection, implementation and management of external intelligence, data and solution providers.
• You build and govern a centralized Market Intelligence Hub, integrating advanced analytics and AI solutions to strengthen transparency, forecasting capabilities and decision quality.
• You monitor and interpret global macroeconomic, commodity, geopolitical and regulatory developments and assess their implications for procurement markets, supply chains and business risks.
• You translate complex economic and market developments into actionable recommendations, scenarios and decision support for Procurement Leadership and Category Management.
• You develop forward-looking market indicators, forecasting approaches and early-warning mechanisms to proactively identify opportunities, risks and disruptions.
• You drive innovation in Market Intelligence by leveraging advanced analytics, AI and emerging technologies to create measurable business value for Procurement.

Your qualifications and experience

• You hold a Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Economic Research, Business Economics, or a comparable discipline with a strong quantitative and macroeconomic focus.
• You bring long years of professional experience in Market Intelligence, Economic Research, Procurement Intelligence, Commodity Analysis, Strategy, or a comparable environment, with a proven track record of translating economic developments into business decisions.
• You have a deep understanding of global macroeconomic trends, commodity markets, geopolitical developments, trade policies, and supply chain economics, including their impact on procurement markets and business performance.
• You have experience in selecting, implementing, and managing external intelligence, data, and solution providers, as well as building scalable market intelligence capabilities and decision-support platforms.
• You have a proven ability to leverage analytics, AI, and digital technologies to generate actionable insights and communicate complex economic developments effectively to senior executives and business stakeholders.
