Vos missions principales

Job purpose

The Procurement Manager Germany has the responsibility and accountability to lead and execute procurement activities in Germany, to meet production scheduling, barley quality and quantity, financial KPIs for raw material purchasing.

Relations with suppliers & other interlocutors

• Purchasing of raw material, considering quality, cost, plant requirements and storage capacities
• Negotiation
• Coordinate the relationships and initiate the right collaboration with suppliers and with the grain commerce network
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers
• Animate the varietal development with local farmers

Relations with S&OP and plants

• Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, raw material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving
• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations

Follow up of positions / reporting

• Reporting financial and physical position
• Develop and timely prepare procurement budgets, reports, forecasts
• Control of execution
• Establish financial exposure
• Coordinate the relationships with the middle office

Analyze the German market

• Provide required information concerning the grain market in Germany.
• Identify key factors of the market
• Implement and direct both short and long-term barley procurement programs to ensure a sustainable supply at market competitive prices meeting customer and company quality and varietal requirements
• Follow up of prices
• Compare offers and needs
• Basic understanding of trading (OTC and futures market)
• Participate in weekly meetings of the group procurement team

Votre profil

Qualifications required:

• Education in agronomy, business administration, purchasing with relevant experience in a similar or related industry and at least 3 years' experience in grain purchasing in Germany.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from/to management.
