Role Overview

The Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing procurement processes that support the company’s growth trajectory. This hands-on leader will manage sourcing, supplier relationships, and purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services critical to R&D, clinical, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans
• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for laboratory supplies, raw materials, equipment, and services
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Collaborate closely with R&D, operations, finance, and quality teams to forecast demand and ensure material availability
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit readiness
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and tools
• Manage procurement budgets and contribute to cost control efforts

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciences startups
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with changing priorities
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
