A European financial institution in Frankfurt is seeking a Procurement Expert to enhance procurement processes. The successful candidate will manage public tenders, ensure compliance with procurement rules, and work closely with various business areas. A master's degree and two years of relevant experience are required. This position offers a full-time salary of €7,296 monthly net, with opportunities for professional growth and a diverse work environment.
General Information
Your team
You will be part of the Central Procurement Division in the Directorate Finance. Our Directorate has approximately 100 staff responsible for the financial reporting of the Eurosystem and the European Central Bank (ECB), including the Eurosystem’s monetary income allocation scheme, and the ECB’s financial and management accounting services. We also prepare the ECB's strategic and operational planning, including the annual budget, and contribute to the fee framework for banking supervision and its implementation. Finally, we provide internal procurement oversight and services. The Directorate is involved in several Eurosystem committees and sub-structures in these fields.
The CPO, a division of approximately 25 staff, is responsible for ensuring, through its central coordination, oversight, advice and support, the sound conduct and successful outcome of ECB procurements in accordance with the ECB’s rules and procedures. In this context, the Division acts as a second level of control and governance for the ECB’s procurement activities. It also provides advice and support throughout the procurement process. We develop and implement the ECB’s procedural frameworks for procurement planning, execution and reporting.
In your role as Procurement Expert you will be part of a team that is aligned to the business, ensures value for money and compliance with the procurement rules, and aims at identifying and offering effective solutions and facilitating innovation. You will work closely with colleagues from all areas in the bank and interact with external providers.

Further information
The contract offered will be short-term ESCB / IO, the appointment being for 12 months as of the exact starting date of the selected person, extendable to up to 36 months.
