Your mission

As a Process & Production Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, refining, and implementing manufacturing processes for functional coatings used in applications such as batteries photovoltaics, and heating systems. You will collaborate closely with teams across R&D, application development, and production to translate innovative concepts into scalable industrial solutions. This role demands a strong technical foundation and the ability to bridge the gap between product development and manufacturing operations.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop and optimize coating processes such as screen printing, doctor blade, and slot-die techniques for functional materials
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up new pastes and materials into robust production processes
  • Plan and execute trials, parameter studies, and process evaluations to ensure performance and reliability
  • Set up and support prototype and pilot-scale production lines for new technologies
  • Contribute to the industrialization of innovative products and processes
  • Document process knowledge and actively support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the selection, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including paste development, application engineering, and quality assurance
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%) to partners, suppliers, or production sites
Your profile
  • Degree in Process Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Production Technology, or a related field
  • Initial experience or several years in process development or production, ideally within functional coatings or printing technologies
  • Strong technical understanding of materials, machinery, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices, process documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Team-oriented approach, structured working style, and excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus
