Job summary

JD.com is expanding its international footprint with a focus on cross-border logistics and world-class operations. We are seeking a results-driven professional to optimize processes, create SOPs, and lead Lean initiatives across delivery stations in Germany.

You will drive data-driven improvements, collaborate with tech and station teams, and mentor frontline leaders in lean practices to raise performance and efficiency. German base locations are welcome; English is the working language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; 5+ years in logistics and delivery/distribution.
• Retail or e-commerce background preferred.
• Experience in process optimization and SOP creation.
• Six Sigma is a plus.
• Fluent English; German or French proficiency preferred.
• Advanced Excel and BPMN tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and process streamlining through data analysis.
• Optimize and standardize in-station processes such as receiving, sortation, route planning and loading.
• Create SOPs, workflows and work instructions.
• Define and scope system requirements and cooperate with tech teams for system functionalities and design.
• Create reports measuring performance and quality.
• Create training material and train the trainer sessions.
• Lead root cause analysis using Lean, 5S or similar tools to resolve KPI gaps.
• Collaborate with stations' teams to capture challenges and promote process changes.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by training frontline leaders on lean principles.
• Create and implement routines to drive improvement in delivery stations.

About The Team

What You'll Do

• Driving cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and process streamlining through data analysis
• Optimization and standardization of in-station processes such as receiving, sortation, route planning and loading
• Creation of SOPs, workflows and work instructions
• Definition and scoping of system requirements and cooperation with tech teams for system functionalities and design
• Creation of reports measuring performance and quality
• Creation of training material and train the trainer sessions
• Lead root cause analysis (using Lean, 5S or similar tools) to resolve performance gaps in relevant In Station KPIs
• Collaborate with stations' teams to capture challenges and promote process changes
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by training frontline leaders on lean principles
• Create and implement routines and mechanisms to drive improvement in the delivery stations

About You

• Bachelor's degree or higher; 5+ years of experience in the logistics and delivery/ distribution industry
• Preferably retail;e-commerce background
• Experience in process optimization, creation of SOPs
• Six Sigma experience is a plus
• Fluent English, which can be used as a working language; German or French proficiency preferred;
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to implement systems;
• Advanced excel
• Improvement experience driven by BPMN tools
• The preferred base locations are Oberhausen, Munich, and Berlin; however, applications for other cities in Germany are also welcome
