Über uns

Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world-class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed customer expectations by ensuring that all orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.

The European Amazon Logistics team is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Process Engineer to drive standardization, integrate the latest technologies in our Delivery Stations, and propose new innovation initiatives. As a member of the EU Amazon Logistics Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing new Delivery Stations, supporting process optimization, and integrating new technologies into legacy sites to improve safety, customer experience, quality, and cost.

You will act as a key contact in your area of responsibility within your supported country, partnering with local Operations teams and other support functions. This role requires a deep customer focus, strong self-motivation, and excellent project management skills. Regular communication with customers and project sponsors at both European and country levels is essential, along with being detail-oriented and capable of collaborating across business and technical teams.

To succeed, you should combine strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach with good design and operational intuition. The role involves frequent domestic travel, and you will report to the Manager of the Design Engineering team in your supported country.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Drive the design of new sites and upgrade existing sites, including automation integration.
  2. Lead technology integration and standardization across EU-wide programs, managing layout integrations and optimizations.
  3. Share best practices with EU counterparts to contribute to network standardization.
  4. Provide process expertise in engineering design, material flow, conveyor placement, equipment needs, and real estate considerations based on process requirements.
  5. Lead strategic initiatives to improve station processes and designs, engaging stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
A Day in the Life

You will lead end-to-end design for new delivery stations and enhance existing processes. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders—including operations, design and construction, launch, expansion, and safety teams—is key. You will produce optimal layouts for new launches, optimize current stations, and present proposals to leadership. Additionally, you will work on automation projects to incorporate new technologies into legacy stations and develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.

About the Team

Our team collaborates closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to develop best-in-class process infrastructure and layouts, establishing EU AMZL network standards. We value knowledge sharing, mentorship, and career development, and foster an inclusive, respectful, and innovative team culture. We believe in maintaining a healthy work/life balance to promote overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or Logistics.
  • Experience in process development roles within industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project management skills.
  • Languages: English and German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, MSc, or MEng in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Certified Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Advanced data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with development tools like AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
