Jobbeschreibung

Über uns

Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world-class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.

The European Amazon Logistics team is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Process Engineer to drive standardization, integrate the latest technologies in our Delivery Stations, and propose new innovation initiatives. As a member of the EU Amazon Logistics Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing new Delivery Stations, supporting process optimization, and integrating new technologies into legacy sites to improve safety, customer experience, quality, and cost.

You will act as a key contact for your area of responsibility in the country you support, partnering with local Operations teams and other support functions. This role requires deep customer focus, strong self-motivation, and exceptional project management skills. Regular communication with customers and project sponsors at European and country levels is expected, along with being detail-oriented and comfortable working across technical and business teams.

To succeed, you need strong analytical skills, a data-driven outlook, and good design and operational intuition. The role involves frequent domestic travel, and you will report to the Manager of the Design Engineering team in your supported country.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Drive new site designs and upgrade existing sites, including automation integration.
  2. Lead technology integration and standardization across EU programs, owning layout integrations and optimizations.
  3. Contribute to network standardization through best practice sharing with EU teams.
  4. Provide process expertise in material flow, conveyor placement, equipment requirements, and real estate implications based on process needs.
  5. Lead strategic initiatives to improve processes and station designs, engaging stakeholders and influencing decisions.
A Day in the Life

You will lead end-to-end design for new delivery stations and improve existing processes, working with various stakeholders such as operations, design, construction, launch, expansion, and safety teams. Your responsibilities include producing optimal layouts, integrating new technologies, leading projects for process improvements, and developing innovative solutions to complex design challenges.

About the Team

Our team collaborates closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to develop best-in-class process infrastructure and layouts, establishing EU network standards. We foster a culture of knowledge sharing, mentorship, and career growth, and prioritize an inclusive, respectful, and diverse work environment. We believe in maintaining a healthy work/life balance to ensure long-term happiness and productivity.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or Logistics.
  • Experience in process development, ideally within industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and Project Management skills.
  • Languages: English and German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, MSc, or MEng in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Certified Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Advanced data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with development tools like AutoCAD.
