Jobbeschreibung

Come and do your life’s work - Why we do what we do

Fossil fuels have powered our economy for decades—at the cost of pollution and a changing climate. At Phlair, we’re reversing that equation. With our cost-efficient, scalable electrochemical Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, we pull CO₂ from the air to either store it permanently or repurpose it into CO₂-negative chemicals. Join us in enabling a carbon-negative future.

WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT?

We’ve developed a breakthrough hydrolizer for acid/base regeneration, enabling scalable CO₂ capture. With partners like Frontier Climate, Stripe, and Shopify, we’re on track to make a global impact.

Our Project Dawn is our flagship initiative, setting the foundation to scale our technology and remove millions of tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere. We're one of the only seven DAC companies with a proven offtake agreement. Phlair is poised to become a technology leader, leveraging renewable energy and low-cost DAC to provide clean energy solutions that go beyond carbon removal.

Your mission at Phlair
  • Design & Build: Collaborate with CSO Steffen to design, build, and modify scaled absorption testing infrastructure.
  • Optimize & Experiment: Conduct experiments with new absorption solvents
  • Evaluate & Improve: Analyze absorption results and provide actionable feedback to the research team.
  • Hands-On: Rapid prototyping and modification of absorption experiment infrastructure, with a focus on continuous improvement.
What you’ll need
  • Education: M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience: Practical experience in process, chemical, or environmental engineering.
  • Process Simulation: Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus).
  • Process Design: Skilled in process design, optimization, and component selection.

ESSENTIAL TRAITS

  • Clear Communicator: You can explain complex technical concepts in both German and English.
  • Analytical Thinker: You quickly identify opportunities for process improvements and quick wins.
Great to have, but optional
  • HAZOP Experience: Familiar with hazard and operability studies (HAZOP).
  • Global Mindset: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, leveraging different perspectives and entrepreneurial thinking.
What we offer you
  • Competitive salary and stock options to share in the company’s success
  • 30 vacation days, including 2 days of recreational leave
  • Public transport pass for all of Germany
  • Relocation support to help you settle into Munich
  • Fitness and wellness benefits to keep you at your best
  • Fresh team lunches, prepared by our amazing chef, Amelie
