H&P is partnering with an established private equity firm specializing in mid and lower-mid market technology investments across Europe. The firm is seeking a Senior Associate / Investment Manager to join its growing team in Munich.

Their investment strategy spans growth to buyout stages, covering a broad range of technology verticals, with a particular focus on software. The geographic focus is primarily within the DACH region.

Role Overview:

  • Lead deal execution from initial screening and financial modeling through due diligence, investment committee preparation, and transaction closing, working closely with partners and external advisors.
  • Drive post-investment value creation, collaborating with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth projects—particularly in software and tech-enabled businesses.
  • Actively monitor portfolio performance, including KPI tracking, board reporting, and supporting key decision-making around capital allocation, M&A, and organizational scaling.
  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities by building relationships with founders, advisors, and intermediaries across the DACH region, contributing to the firm’s pipeline development.
  • Take ownership of internal projects and firm-building initiatives, supporting fundraising, process development, and knowledge sharing in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tech investment banking or private equity (excluding internships).
  • Self-motivated, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in German, native or bilingual.
