Zalando SE is seeking a Principal Strategic Development Manager to drive partnership strategies and manage external relationships within the ZEOS Commercial team. This role entails collaboration across various departments to implement actionable initiatives that support business growth and innovation. As a Principal Strategic Development Manager within the ZEOS Commercial team, you will identify, develop, and manage partnerships that align with our business objectives. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our organization and external partners, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships that drive growth and innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, account development, marketing, product development, and operations to translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, ensuring that partnerships are effectively integrated into our overall business strategy. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of partnerships, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and making recommendations for improvement.

Strategic Focus: Drive comprehensive partnership strategies by clarifying the challenges these partnerships should address and how they contribute to ZEOS's overall strategy and targets. Translate these strategies into actionable initiatives and projects.
Partnership Development: Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities aligned with our strategic frameworks. Lead the preparation and negotiation of partnership agreements.
Joint Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies with partners, including co-marketing campaigns, sales enablement programs, and joint merchant engagements. Collaborate to identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring seamless integration between products and services.
Partner Management and Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners. Monitor and analyze partnership performance using key metrics, providing insights and recommendations for strategy refinement. Address operational and strategic challenges proactively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align partnerships with business goals and solve operational and strategic challenges.
Stakeholder Management: Provide regular updates to stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on partnership strategies that deliver value to customers and the company.
You should have at least 7 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or strategic alliances, preferably within retail or e-commerce. A proven track record in establishing and managing successful strategic partnerships, including co-building, co-selling, and co-marketing initiatives to drive revenue and growth, is essential. You should be skilled in developing strategic initiatives, presenting to senior management, and analyzing data to inform decisions. Experience in or knowledge of complex solution selling or product development in SaaS or similar environments is advantageous.
