Zusammenfassung

Infineon Technologies AG in Germany is seeking a Principal SoC Architect to lead next‑gen System‑on‑Chip architectures within the Research & Development team. You will shape architectural concepts, drive performance, power efficiency, and safety considerations across complex SoC projects.

You will collaborate with internal experts and management, define power management IP, and guide the integration of standard IP blocks while applying advanced methodologies and AI‑driven design techniques.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in SoC architecture, digital or mixed-signal design and verification, and embedded microcontroller systems.
• Experience with digital power conversion topologies (PFC, FB, LLC) and digital signal processing.
• Strong system-level thinking, initiative, and excellent communication; fluent English; German is a plus.

Principal SoC Architect – Research & Development

As a Principal SoC Architect on our Research & Development team, you will shape the future of technology by driving groundbreaking projects and bringing new ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and specifications for System‑on‑Chip (SoC) architectures while balancing performance, efficiency, cost, and safety requirements
• Define differentiating components (power control and management IP) and select and integrate standard IP blocks (CPU, memory, interfaces)
• Build and maintain architectural models and virtual prototypes
• Develop and implement digital power control and management algorithms using state‑of‑the‑art AI‑driven design methodologies
• Collaborate with internal and external experts (e.g., application, analog, digital, mixed‑signal, and software teams) as well as management

Qualifications

• A solid technical background based on a degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in SoC architecture and concept engineering, digital or mixed‑signal design and verification, and embedded microcontroller systems
• Experience in digital power conversion topologies (e.g., PFC, FB, LLC), digital signal processing, and control theory
• Experience with digital power control algorithms and techniques
• A passion for technology and the willingness to take initiative
• Strong system‑level thinking and analytical skills
• Openness to applying advanced methodologies (e.g., agentic AI) and learning about new applications
• Very good communication skills to collaborate with team members, experts, and management
• Fluent English skills; German language skills are a plus
