Wood is recruiting a Principal Renewable Energy Consultant to join the advisory services team focusing on Solar and Hybrid projects. The team is based in Hamburg but we support remote and hybrid working across Germany.

Our projects span onshore and offshore Wind, Solar PV, Hydrogen, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

The Role

The Principal Renewable Energy Consultant (PREC) manages a portfolio of due diligence assignments for renewable projects, producing detailed reports aligned with client needs. You will serve as the main client contact, fostering strong relationships to support project financing and business growth. You will also have access to training resources and opportunities to mentor colleagues, sharing your expertise to develop future industry leaders.

• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in technical due diligence and project management
• Knowledge of project finance and risk management
• Leadership experience
• Second language proficiency (preferred)
• Valid driving license
• Experience with wind energy projects, offshore work, or working at heights
