Summary

Do you want to contribute to our HxGN SDx2 offering and major project implementations as a solution and industry consultant, while being a core member of the global Solution Design Group alongside the product management and product ownership team? Then this might be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive person to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting early and critical implementations and serve as the key interface to our project teams. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the implementation design is accurate, provide hands-on assistance, and escalate product-related issues promptly. As a bridge between the project and product teams, you will address product-related inquiries, gather customer requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our implementation processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementation projects, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. With experience in the key Industries ALI is serving, and having a deep understanding around our information management portfolio based offering you can guide customers to implement our solutions in a future proof way taking best practices into account while leveraging as much as possible from the out of the box capability available today or planned in the roadmap.

This role is embedded in the Solution Design organization, working directly with product owners, development, and QA teams.

Remote Work Requirement:

This position may require the selected candidate to travel up to 40%. Having experience working with geographically diverse teams and remote employees is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead Implementation Support

  • Oversee and support early and critical product implementations and rollout.
  • Work hand in hand with project management / coordinator roles to report early and regularly on progress, potential delays and bottlenecks.
  • Provide functional and technical design expertise across systems or projects, analysing and resolving complex technical design issues, ensuring onsite project implementation meets standard requirements of quality, security, and extensibility.
  • Ensure the implementation design aligns with product specifications, requirements and is future proof.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to project teams during the implementation phase.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth and accurate implementation processes.
  • Provide domain expertise to the technical teams who build the SDx product to deploy based on specific customer requirements and configurations.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams and the product management team.
  • Escalate product-related issues promptly to ensure quick resolution.

Customer Requirement Gathering

  • Collaborate with clients/managers to understand detailed client requirements and provide optimal solutions using the product features.
  • Leverage industry and product knowledge to answer customer inquiries or questions related to process and implementation procedures.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of products, conduct needs analysis, provide product presentations, customize and implement solutions.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding to keep the customer as close to the standard offering as possible.
  • Understand central data systems / implemented configuration with respect to product features.
  • Create detailed documentation describing the user requirements in the form of text specifications, workflow diagrams and persona-based descriptions.
  • Represent the product and company by visiting customers at their construction site to solicit feedback on company products and services.

Education / Qualifications

Required Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding and creation of project specific standards carved out for different kinds of industry segments like Oil & Gas, Pharma, chemical, process etc.
  • Experience working with different schema extensions related to SDx2, SIO, FDW, CFIHOS class libraries.
  • Complete understanding of schema configurations related to industrial products like SPF, SDx, SDx2, Aveva ISM (Information Standard Manager), Datum 360 or equivalent systems.
  • Deep understanding / knowledge on commodity classification, tag hierarchies, document classification methodologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of administration of SPF (Smart Plant foundation) and / or SDx, its configuration and customization for specific industry needs.
  • Deep understanding of customer workflows of different activities of different configurations and provide detailed workflows for customization to the specific customers.
  • Experience creating and maintaining the current state of services with respect to digital reality requirements.
  • Experience maintaining the performance of SDx installation and its management.
  • Basic knowledge on security configurations of central data management systems.
  • Detail market and industry product configuration requirements for SDx and peripheral integrated products like SPPID, S3D, SDx and other tools.
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams and remote employees a plus.

Skills Required:

  • Software Configuration management.
  • Product Management.
  • Proven track record of successfully working on implementation projects, preferably in a technical lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and guide project teams through complex implementation processes.
  • Experience in engaging with customers to gather requirements and provide product-related support.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Presentation and Negotiation Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively on different levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between project teams and product management.
