Your new role
The Principal Product Manager, Medical Affairs, is responsible for leading the product management activities for Medical Affairs use cases, one of our main Digital Science strategic directions. They will work in close collaboration with other members of our product development team (including developers, QA & UX) in order to shape, design, prioritise, and launch a high-quality product, to solve real business problems for our clients and users. The Principal Product Manager, Medical affairs will also work closely with our client community to ensure client needs are embedded at the heart of our development processes.
The Principal Product Manager, Medical affairs will be working on the scope, prioritization and launch of a new solution to help publication managers understand the impact and reach of their research publications and drive continuous improvement.
This role will report to the Product Director Enterprise. The Enterprise market segment team is focused on the development and improvement of product market fit for Life sciences, High tech and Industrial customers. The Principal Product Manager, Medical affairs will be directly leading the efforts on product market fit to our Life science customers. In this capacity , they will need to have working knowledge of all the Enterprise segment’s products, in order to facilitate cross-team collaboration where relevant.
What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive product strategy and roadmap, aligned to commercial goals, user needs, and market differentiation
- Analyse data and customer insights to identify innovation opportunities, assess product performance, and guide prioritisation decisions
- Lead the full product lifecycle — from ideation and requirements through to launch and continuous improvement
- Apply best-practice product management frameworks and maintain high-quality artefacts (e.g. PRDs, user stories, epics)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, engineering, client services, and commercial teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Embed a user-centric approach through client engagement, research, and feedback, ensuring needs are reflected in product design
- Ensure product quality and compliance in partnership with engineering and other internal stakeholders
- Support adoption and go-to-market through the creation of documentation, training content, and contributions to client meetings, RFPs, and product demonstrations
- Act as a trusted product expert, communicating product plans and performance clearly across internal and external audiences
What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience in software product management, discovery, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and deliver solutions.
- Proven ability to foster cross-functional collaboration among teams with diverse areas of expertise and responsibility, leveraging product management tools and frameworks to drive alignment and deliver results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation and relationship management skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills and ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt projects in response to changing requirements.
- A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Domain knowledge:
- Experience in Life Science solutions, with preference on such for pharmaceutical companies
- Experience in Medical affairs, publication planning, sci comms, either directly working in similar roles or working on solutions that support these roles
