Our work culture

About our technology

The semiconductor industry’s growing demand for more powerful chips with higher bandwidth and lower power finds its solution in our technology. We connect chips to high-throughput, low-delay computing networks. The key lies in harnessing the physical properties of graphene to combine electronic computing with photonic communication, allowing countless chips to interactalmost asif they were one. Our graphene photonic innovation increases computing power and efficiency to a new order of magnitude

In short, we connect chips to create powerful and energy-efficient networks, overcoming connectivity limitations in the semiconductor industry. We deliver the graphene solution

The Role

Black Semi is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer – Metrology to join our growing fabrication team. We’re working on devices that have never been manufactured at scale before, using novel structures and materials. To support this innovation, we’re expanding our metrology capabilities to measure and evaluate these breakthroughs with precision and consistency

This role brings a strategic approach to measurement, collaborating closely with team members to generate high-impact data from cleanroom operations. Your attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to continuous improvement will directly support the evolution of our manufacturing expertise

To join our team, you should be excited to
  • Build deepexpertisewith Black Semi’s metrology equipment and apply these tools to address specific measurement challenges in our graphene-photonics manufacturing processes
  • Support team members in developing effective metrology strategies across diverse fabrication areas, helping to improve the clarity, value, and impact of measurements
  • Guide the integration of test structures into mask layouts, ensuring compatibility with metrology tools and compliance with design rules across all product layers
  • Implement andmaintainsystems tomonitorthe stability and calibration of critical metrology equipment, using statistical process control (SPC) and other best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams toidentifyopportunities for major improvements in process performance, using reliable measurement protocols to support data-driven decisions
  • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues on how to approach nonstandard metrology challenges with thoughtful, adaptable strategies—including the development of internal and external cross-calibration methods
