The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory in Nuremberg focuses on advanced digital power research, architecture evolution, and strategic planning, especially for applications like PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage, Data Centers, Electric Vehicles, and Embedded Power Supply.

As part of the Huawei Energy R&D team in Nuremberg, you will:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements in Digital Power applications.
• Develop technology roadmaps for next-generation products in PV Solar & BESS solutions.
• Design novel Power Conversion architectures and converter types.
• Lead prototype development, parameter design, and validation in R&D labs.
• Lead research projects in Solar PV domain.
• Mentor junior staff members.

Required expertise includes:

• Master's (MSc.) or PhD in power electronics, electrical/electronic engineering, or power engineering, with relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of power electronic converter principles, magnetic components, semiconductor devices, and control systems.
• Experience in product development and release is desirable.
• Hands-on experience in building and testing power converters.
• Ability to analyze and design key parameters like power loss, semiconductor selection, magnetic design, PCB layout, and modulation techniques.
• Self-reliant, autonomous, eager to learn, and innovative.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Fluent in English; willingness to learn German is a plus.
