Responsibilities
Oversee environmental projects from initial proposal through to final delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are successfully managed.
Act as a senior technical advisor within multidisciplinary teams, particularly on contaminated site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation strategies.
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned key clients, providing high-level support and maintaining long-term partnerships.
Guide teams in identifying potential risks and implementing effective corrective measures during project execution.
Drive continuous improvement through structured project reviews and "lessons learned" processes.
Contribute to strategic initiatives related to sustainability, circular economy principles, digital innovation, and emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
Support business development by identifying new service opportunities and contributing to thought leadership through publications and professional events.
Assist with mentoring and guiding junior team members, contributing to technical excellence across the group.
Help promote market visibility by sharing knowledge at industry conferences and contributing to professional networks.
About You
A degree (or equivalent qualification) in environmental engineering, geology, geosciences, or a related technical field.
Proven experience leading contaminated land and remediation projects, ideally within a consultancy or private sector environment.
Strong understanding of German environmental legislation, particularly in the areas of soil protection, groundwater, and waste. Familiarity with EU/international regulations is a plus.
Skilled in coordinating stakeholders across complex projects, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
A proactive mindset, with an ability to identify business opportunities and support marketing and sales efforts.
Capable of occasional travel within Germany as required for project delivery.
