Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
  • Develop compact models using both physics-based and behavioral modeling approaches to accurately represent the electrical, thermal, and electro-thermal characteristics of power semiconductor devices, particularly high-voltage MOSFETs, JFETs, diodes, and IGBTs in silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies
  • Convert existing baseline models into Verilog-A and develop converters to translate Verilog-A models back into SPICE
  • Implement new methodologies for the optimization of physics-based device compact models, ensuring good convergence and portability across multiple commonly used simulation platforms
  • Verify compact models using provided or self-developed application-oriented test circuits
  • Evaluate device behavior in the presence of parasitic application environments and analyze their representation through different modeling approaches
  • Take responsibility for the continuous advancement of modeling methodologies and measurement techniques
  • Support application engineers in solving complex technical challenges and serve as a key contact for aligning compact model strategies with other compact modeling groups within Infineon
  • Act as the interface to the Compact Model Coalition (CMC)
  • Independently define tasks, priorities, and approaches within the area of responsibility, demonstrating a high degree of ownership and decision-making autonomy
  • Operate with significant autonomy, taking responsibility for defining work packages, setting priorities, and driving technical solutions independently
