Qualifikationen

Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as a breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. As a principal consultant, you will coordinate all consultancy delivery activities within (1-2) clients and will manage transformation programs, operational excellence, and pathway optimization projects.

This role covers the DACH (Germany, Austria, Swiss Confederation) region and is a remote position. Your home location will be your primary work base, but you will be required to work onsite at client sites across the DACH region regularly and attend meetings at a Medtronic location as needed. As part of the larger EMEA team, there may be opportunities to support other regional teams and work across borders occasionally.

A Day in the Life

As part of the EMEA Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions Consultancy Community, you will be responsible for:

1. Partnering with strategic hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient care pathways, and optimize operations.
2. Influencing key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analyses, financial estimates, and business cases for change.
3. Identifying, framing, and prioritizing initiatives to capture value, establishing project roadmaps, and developing actionable plans to drive improvements and cost savings.
4. Managing full end-to-end projects and providing day-to-day coaching and mentoring to the service delivery team.
5. Preparing periodic portfolio reviews with the steering committee to track progress, measure economic value, and assess customer satisfaction.
6. Driving implementation, coaching, and developing local project or staff resources.
7. Capturing learning and best practices to continuously enrich Medtronic's consulting toolbox.

Must Haves

• Master’s degree in a relevant functional area
• 4-6 years of experience as a consultant at a top-tier or high-end healthcare consulting firm
• Extensive healthcare environment experience and engagement with hospital C-suite / senior management stakeholders
• Strong program management skills: planning, coordinating, communicating, influencing, relationship building, milestone achievement, issue resolution, and risk management
• Proven people management, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Native German and excellent English skills (additional languages are a plus)
• Willingness to travel within DACH (up to 70%)

• Strong consulting toolkit, especially problem solving skills
• People management skills with a focus on team development and coaching
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare decision-making processes

This position requires full Measles immunization due to facility-based immunization policies.
