Job Overview

We are looking for a flexible, innovative, creative, and enthusiastic teacher for the bright and enquiring young minds of our primary school students. This position is limited to a one or two-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent extension afterward.

Role Description

We need a highly qualified English-speaking teacher with a teaching degree or certificate (QTS) in Primary Education. Our class teachers teach all primary subjects except art, coding, music, German, and physical education, for which we have specialist teachers. Our primary school includes Years 1 to 4, as secondary school in Germany starts with Year 5. We are a three-form entry school with 12 classes from Year 1-4. Schemes of work are based on the German Lower Saxony curriculum, with lessons taught mainly in English using materials adapted from UK, US, or similar curricula. Experience teaching KS1/2 is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of German is not required but a willingness to learn the basics is important.
