Job summary

Berlin Metropolitan School is seeking a PYP Classroom Teacher to join our Primary School team from November 2026 for two years. The role involves supporting IBPYP teaching, resource management, and differentiation to meet multilingual learners.

You will contribute to a modern, technology-enabled learning environment in the heart of Berlin. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Primary Education with a valid teaching certificate, have at least three years of multilingual teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Primary Education with a valid teaching certification.
• At least three years of teaching experience in a multilingual environment.
• Experience in teaching the IBPYP curriculum.
• Experience using technology to enrich student learning.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote the school and the IB mission statements.
• Help select resources and manage them efficiently within the classroom.
• Ensure the classroom is organized, stimulating and attractive.
• Demonstrate effort and commitment to make lessons enjoyable and relevant to all learners.
• Encourage students to continue their learning independently and spark enthusiasm for learning.
• Differentiate lessons to accommodate varying levels of English, ability and approaches to learning.
• Integrate technology meaningfully into everyday teaching and learning.
• Show understanding and use of the school’s written curriculum and policies in teaching.
• Be supportive of the school’s mission and actively participate in school life and share expertise with colleagues.
• Compile meaningful communications for the class parents reflecting high quality teaching and learning.

To support our Primary School team, we are currently looking for an adaptable and inspiring PYP Classroom Teacher starting in November, 2026, limited for 2 years.

• A Bachelors or Master´s degree in Primary Education (English, Math, Social Studies) with a valid teaching certification.

• At least three years of teaching experience in a multilingual learning environment.
