Our client is a top international school in Munich, Germany. They are currently seeking to hire a Primary German Teacher.
Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough and current knowledge in the subject area(s) taught.
- Keep an overview of curriculum developments.
- Engage fully with professional learning opportunities, including INSET, working groups, and professional learning communities, even outside core school hours.
- Collaborate and support the professional development of colleagues.
- Use evidence and research to improve teaching and learning.
- Reflect on personal practice and pursue continuous improvement.
- Participate in structures supporting professional learning, including appraisal and observation.
Teaching and Learning Responsibilities
- Teach approximately 80% of the timetable, with 20% allocated to preparation.
- Maintain high standards in planning, preparation, monitoring, assessment, reporting, and feedback, following school policies.
- Employ teaching strategies that meet individual student needs and support differentiated learning.
- Set clear, challenging, and achievable expectations for pupils.
- Create a secure, trusting, and respectful learning environment where pupils feel safe to explore and take risks.
- Ensure all pupils make progress relative to their prior attainment and potential.
- Maintain a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment, paying attention to resources and displays.
Qualifications
- Degree in Education (e.g., B.Ed., M.Ed., Lehramt) or postgraduate teaching certificate (PGCE).
- Experience in the English curriculum.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Primary German Teacher in Munich.
