Job summary

DP World in Hamburg is seeking a senior procurement professional with a focus on ocean freight pricing and country-level tender management to join our logistics team. The role collaborates with operations and sales to deliver competitive end-to-end solutions, manage rate requests, and monitor local market conditions to support informed procurement decisions.

Candidates should have at least five years in freight forwarding pricing, carrier management, and successful negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a strong focus on pricing and procurement.
• Proven experience in procurement and carrier management within the local ocean freight and logistics market.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating competitive agreements and managing country-level tenders.
• Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments, including close collaboration with procurement teams.
• Strong understanding of local market conditions, regulations, and logistics infrastructure.

• Act as the country contact for daily ocean freight pricing and procurement activities

• Advise on rate structures, carrier selection, and capacity challenges

• Support local, regional, and global tendering processes
• Provide sales teams with competitive buying rates and selling recommendations, including mainfreight and pre-/on-carriage options
• Manage rate requests from the DP World overseas and agent networks to grow non-controlled business
• Implement follow-up processes and KPIs to measure pricing success rates
• Support monthly and quarterly customer rate updates for the sales organization
